How do I know if my purchase is qualified for Cash Back?

Once you sign into your WU Shop profile, you’ll be able to see all the top online shopping brands from around the globe on our website. Using the store links available in WU Shop, you’ll be able to make qualifying and eligible purchases that earn you Cash Back1 as per the details mentioned there.

A purchase is defined as qualifying and eligible for Cash Back when you either:

  • Click through to the partner website via a designated link from WU Shop.
  • Click a link in an email from Western Union that goes directly to a partner site.
When will my Cash Back be available?

Once the store confirms a qualifying purchase with Western Union, Cash Back is usually available within 90 to 120 days. Some exceptions, such as travel purchases, may take longer, depending on when the travel is completed.

How do I redeem my Cash Back?

Cash Back can be redeemed once your account accrues a minimum of $25. The Cash Back can be redeemed as cash following these steps:

  • Log in to My WU profile.
  • Click Redeem Cash Back under the Cash Wallet.
  • Confirm the amount for redemption.
  • Save the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) number if you are withdrawing cash for pick up at any of our nearest agent locations using a valid ID.
For how long does my Cash Back remain valid?

Remember, the more you shop, the more you gain and save. In case of account inactivity for 24 months or more, i.e., when no qualifying purchases are made for 2 years (24 months), your Cash Back will expire.

Is there a minimum limit for withdrawing Cash Back?

Yes, you need a minimum of $25 available in Cash Back to make a withdrawal. There’s no limit to how much Cash Back you can earn on your purchases via WU Shop. Cash Back is awarded for personal purchases only. Using Cash Back for any commercial profit may lead to your profile being permanently terminated or locked.

Why didn’t I get Cash Back for my purchase?

You might not get a Cash Back if your purchase doesn’t qualify for one. Some of the reasons for not qualifying may be:

  • You purchased a product at a discount.
  • You redeemed a coupon, gift card, or voucher to pay for the purchase.
  • You purchased from a store that doesn’t offer Cash Back on mobile purchases. You can check the Cash Back details on the selected store’s page on WU Shop.
