Send money to Canada from India

When making a money transfer to Canada from India, the limits depend on your location and the purpose of your transfer. For example, for the purpose of overseas education you can usually send the INR equivalent of up to $10,000 USD. For all other purposes, the limit is $5,000 USD per transfer.

In total you can send up to 250,000 USD per financial year – from April 1st to March 31^st – which includes every transfer sent using any Western Union service.
